FIU Health is pleased to announce that two of South Florida’s leading specialists – gastroenterologist Pedro (Joe) Greer, MD and dermatologist Martin N. Zaiac, MD, are now providing clinical services at the Faculty Group Practice – Modesto Maidique Campus.

Dr. Zaiac is Chair of the Department of Dermatology at the Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine and the co-founder of The Greater Miami Skin and Laser Center. Some of the types of dermatologic conditions/illnesses that can now be treated at the FGP include:

• Athlete’s Foot (Fungus)
• Jock Itch (Fungus)
• Ringworm
• Nail Fungus
• Rosacea
• Skin Rashes/Lesions
• Acne

Through an agreement with Gastro Health, Dr. Greer and his colleague Dr. Alfredo J. Hernandez are now providing Gastroenterology services within the convenience of the Faculty Group Practice. Both Dr. Greer and Dr. Hernandez have faculty appointments at the Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine but are independent practitioners from Gastro Health.

Dr. Greer is Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs and Chair of the Department of Humanities, Health, and Society at the FIU Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine, and Dr. Hernandez is a clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine.
