Bio: Dr. Foster is a Professor and Vice-Chair for Clinical and Research Services in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine, Florida International University, and a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. Dr.. Foster teaches medical students and psychiatry residents, creates teaching tools and is involved in clinical and educational research. Dr. Foster publishes consistently in peer-reviewed journals and writes book chapters on clinical and educational topics.
Dr. Foster uses psycho-pharmacology and psychotherapy to help people achieve recovery in mental illness. Dr. Foster has extensive expertise in treating adults with bipolar and depressive disorders, schizophrenia, post-traumatic stress, and personality disorders, along with concomitant substance use disorders. Dr. Foster's areas of interest include women's issues and refractory mental illness.
